YOUR DOCUMENTS WILL BE RETURNED IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY AND THE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT PROPERLY MET OR CORRECTLY COMPLETED

  • Form 26 to be completed- Deed creating charge by way of legal mortgage
  • Form 27-Application to register legal charge and incumbrances
  • Declarations of Identity when names are different
  • Full address to be stated, including district and postal /zip code, where applicable 
  • Schedule to reflect Entry/Plan, Lot/Block # and size
  • Copy of original TCT/FCT                                                                                                          
  • Original or certified mortgage(s)                    
  • Requires a copy to the mortgage if an assignment of mortgage was done before
  • Memo or letter, indicating the amount that the mortgage is being up stamped by
  • Original or certified corporate documents, where applicable (Certificate of Incorporation or Good Standing, and List of Directors)                                                                                                        
  • Complete and attach a Submission Form.

Even if these requirements are completed your documents may still be returned, as each is unique, and it is not possible to address all scenarios in this checklist. The Land Registry can provide you with generic advice regarding the submission of documents either by visiting our counter at the Land Registry in Belmopan, weekdays between 8:00am and 5:00pm, or by calling 828-5075 or 828-5078. You are encouraged to contact us in advance of your submission, to avoid any subsequent delays.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 1 MONTH (LOCAL)/3 MONTHS (ABROAD) FROM THE DATE OF EXECUTION, OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
