YOUR DOCUMENTS WILL BE RETURNED IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY AND THE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT PROPERLY MET OR CORRECTLY COMPLETED

 Documents to be completed in duplicate, stating full names of grantors (as recorded on the title) and on incoming IDs (for mortgagees, where necessary); Declarations of Identity when names are different
 Full addresses to be stated, including district and postal /zip code, where applicable
 Schedule to reflect Entry/Plan, Lot/Block # and size
 Original or certified I. Ds for mortgagees, witnessed by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public
 Original or certified copy of the title
 Original or certified corporate documents, where applicable (Certificate of Incorporation or Good Standing, and List of Directors
 Under a Minister’s Fiat Lease, permission to mortgage, from the government is required
 Exchange Control Regulation Permission (where the grantee is a non-resident)
 Complete and attach a Submission Form. Must be completed in duplicate.

Even if these requirements are completed your documents may still be returned, as each is unique, and it is not possible to address all scenarios in this checklist. The Land Registry is able to provide you with generic advice regarding the submission of documents either by visiting our counter at the Land Registry in Belmopan, weekdays between 8:00am and 5:00pm, or by calling 828-5075 or 828-5078. You are encouraged to contact us in advance of your submission, to avoid any subsequent delays.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 1 MONTH (LOCAL)/3 MONTHS (ABROAD) FROM THE DATE OF EXECUTION, OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
